Software Engineer

Job Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document software requirements and translate them into actionable tasks within the ALM system.
• Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams, such as development, testing, operations, and business analysts, to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Handle implementation of ALM solutions (IBM ELM/PTC CodeBeamer/ Siemens Polarion) independently
• Manage and maintain ALM tools (IBM ELM/PTC CodeBeamer/Siemens Polarion) ensuring they are up-to-date and configured to meet project needs.
• Handle project related discussions with project team/clients
• Plan upgrades and updates
• Continuously evaluate and enhance ALM processes to streamline development workflows, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Perform integration of ALM solutions with third party applications
• Migrate data from 3rd party applications with ALM solutions
• Provide training and support to team members and end-users on ALM tools and best practices.
• Generate and analyse reports from the ALM system to provide insights into project progress, issues, and performance metrics
• Develop automation scripts and plugins
• Create and maintain documentation related to customization, process configuration

Primary Skills

    • Engineering Test Management
    • Engineering System Design – Rhapsody
    • Engineering Lifecycle Optmization – Publishing
  • PTC CodeBeamer and Modeler(or)
  • Siemens Polarion & EA
• Experience in installation, configuration and applying patch for the applications mentioned in point 1
• Experience in integration of the applications mentioned in point 1 with third-party applications
• Experience in client interaction and participation in customer workshops
• Good knowledge in customization of the ELM/CodeBeamer/Polarion applications
• Knowledge in designing RPE templates.
• Knowledge in creating JRS based templates
• Strong understanding of the following concepts
  • Requirements management
  • Change Management & Defect tracking
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Configuration Management
  • Quality Assurance (Manual & Automation Testing)
• Knowledge of any one of the RDBMS databases
• Strong knowledge of concepts of SDLC and STLC
• Experience in developing Plugins and scripts to automated process and activities.
• Experience in Migrating data from legacy and third-party applications to ALM solutions
• Experience in providing training on ALM solutions to end-users and Administrators.
• Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and continuous integration tools.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance.
